Korea not so sure on 3G rollout date

When the Korean government awarded two 3G licenses last December, many observers questioned whether the two winners would be able to launch the new technology as scheduled with all its gee-whiz functions.

Cho Young-chu, president and chief executive of KT ICOM, the 3G business unit of state-run Korea Telecom, admitted a possible delay of 3G services, but the timetable should be in line with market principles.
