Detail information has emerged from the US regulatory FCC
website of the new the Motorola 3G handset, A920.
Late last week, the US Federal Communications Commission
approved the specifications for the device, a tri-band GSM/GPRS/UMTS
900/1800/1900/2100 MHz device which runs on Symbian OS with
the UIQ pen-based user interface, as used in the Sony Ericsson's
P800.
According to the user manual from the FCC website, Motorola
appears to have built the device for 3G operator 3. Photos
of the A920 show Hong Kong based Hutchison's 3 branding on
a button. Motorola already supplied 3 with a 3G handset, the
A830.
The cool looking A920 offers a range of advanced features,
including integrated swivel camera to support two-way video
conferencing, video recording and still shots.

Manual suggested this device-include support for multimedia and
messaging applications. Voice dialling and handwriting recognition
has also been mentioned inside the manual. The A920 will be capable
of synchronizing data with a Windows PC over USB.
Significantly it also has an integrated GPS positioning technology
system, first Symbian-based device to do so, allowing location-based
services that was missing on Motorola's first 3G device - the A830.
Two game buttons are placed above the 208 by 320 pixel LCD screen
for landscape game mode, indicating this device as an all 'rounder'
that can play Java games as well as for business use.
