China and Taiwan in Talksdate: September 13, 2001 The C3G (China 3G), a semi-official organization formed in mainland China to promote 3G technologies, held talks with 3G CLUB (Communications Leaders United Board) in order to foster better cooperation relationship with Taiwan's manufacturers of 3G wireless telephones. Both C3G and 3G CLUB consist of members from government agencies, academic and research institutions, and leading manufacturers in the 3G industry. According to You Xiao-Hu, a project leader of mainland China's C3G technical coordination group, mainland China has made substantial progress in establishing industrial standards in 3G wireless communications technologies and is willing to share the R&D results with Taiwan's 3G CLUB. You Xiao-Hu made the statement yesterday at a symposium dedicated to exchange 3G technologies among Taiwan and mainland China's 3G companies and research institutions.
